Durham County Council’s Community Action Team (CAT) will spend eight weeks in Ferryhill South and Station from Tuesday 29 March addressing concerns raised by residents and dealing with issues around housing, the environment and health.
It is the sixteenth CAT project to take place in the county since the scheme was launched in 2012.
Members of the community are being encouraged to get involved and let the team know which areas to focus on.
Drop-in sessions will be held on Monday 11 April from 4pm at the Mainsforth Community Centre and on Monday 18 April from 5pm at the Royal British Legion club.
There will also be a residents’ engagement meeting on Monday 4 April from 5pm at the Royal British Legion.
Joanne Waller, head of environment, health and consumer protection, Durham County Council, said: “From the various CAT projects we have held in the past we have learnt that the best way to make it a success is to listen to what people have to say.
“The engagement meeting and drop-in sessions are a great chance for us to find out what residents and businesses feel the priorities for their area should be.
“We would love to see as many people as possible at these events and for them to give us their views and learn more about the CAT and the work they’ll be doing in the area.”
