As one of the biggest female artists of all time, the show will be the singers’ first-ever stadium performance in the North East, with Sunderland selected as one of only five UK venues to host the global superstar and one of only two stadium venues in England.
Darren will volunteer his time and services to work alongside the Hospitality team as they attend to Beyoncé’s infamous Beyhive.
With unprecedented demand resulting in over 52,000 tickets sold across ticket websites and the stadium’s own box office, the event is set to be one to remember.
Westray Recruitment Consultants was challenged with the task of providing outsourced recruitment services to the Stadium of Light for the concert. The leading North East Consultancy will be recruiting up to 80 staff for the event, through a mix of resourcing, consultancy, and delivery of assessment services.
Darren Williams, an advocate for a number of charities, jumped at the chance to play his part and will be donating his wage on the day to his chosen charity Parkinson’s UK.
Parkinson’s UK drives better care, treatments and quality of life for those living with the condition and delivers expert information on every aspect of Parkinson’s so those affected by the condition can stay in control of their lives.
Darren states “I am genuinely both delighted and excited to raise money for Parkinson UK at the Beyoncé event. The concert is a key event in the social calendar for the region and if my attendance can both raise money and the profile of Parkinson’s UK then it will be time well spent.
I look forward to working with the Westray Hospitality staff servicing the event and look forward to meeting and fundraising with the Beyonce fans and thank everyone in advance for their support”
