Delivering British Army’s Latest Armoured Fighting Vehicles

Screen Shot 2015-12-03 at 16.04.03Corporate Risk Associates (CRA) – an independent risk management consultancy based in Newcastle –has been working with one of the country’s leading military vehicle providers to support the delivery of 589 cutting-edge reconnaissance vehicles to the British Army.

CRA has provided personnel to work as part of an integrated team with engineers from South Wales-based General Dynamics UK, which is delivering AJAX, the future of Armoured Fighting Vehicles for the British Army.

CRA personnel supported General Dynamics UK in AJAX crew space design and assurance, and the completion of trial mock up vehicles prior to full production.

Speaking about the project, Jasbir Sidhu, Chief Executive at CRA said; “This was a huge opportunity for our business and we’re extremely pleased to be involved in such a pioneering and innovative project that is designed to completely transform the armoured fighting vehicle capability being delivered to the British Army.”

Described by General Dynamics UK as a ‘step change’ in armoured vehicles, AJAX will incorporate six variants designed to make it a highly-agile, tracked and medium weight armoured fighting vehicle.  These include AJAX, ATHENA, APOLLO, ATLAS, ARGUS and ARES.

The first roll out of the vehicles will start in 2017 with production expected to complete in 2024.
