A £2.5m residential development has completed in Alnwick with the delivery of fifteen new executive homes.

Newcastle-based Silvertsone Building Consultancy has project managed the development of Thomas Percy Close, working alongside Tolent Living as main contractor, on behalf of Lindisfarne Homes.

The Northumberland-based developer secured planning permission for the scheme in 2015, which has been built on the site of the former Thomas Percy School on Blakelaw Road.

Louise Stewart, associate director of Silverstone said: “We are delighted to have co-ordinated the successful delivery of Thomas Percy Close on behalf of Lindisfarne Homes.  Over 85% of the houses are already sold, which is testament to the quality of the build and the location. At Silverstone we are looking to build our client-base in the residential sector and look forward to working on more projects of this kind”.

Andy McLeod, recently appointed managing director of Tolent Living added: “Thomas Percy Close provides fifteen luxury homes for the private market, sensitively designed to fit seamlessly into the rural environment. Our experience in the region allowed us to keep project investment local with over 70% our of supply chain comprised of businesses from the surrounding area.

The quality of finish and timely delivery meant Tolent Living was able to support our clients to achieve their goals, providing much-needed housing built to an exacting standard. We look forward to working with Lindisfarne Homes in the future and wish new residents health and happiness in their new homes!”

Lindisfarne Homes, who build houses throughout Northumberland and the Scottish Borders, are also developing Beadnell Point, a development of forty ‘New England’ style holiday homes in the coastal village and Grovernor’s Garden – a collection of one to four bedroom homes in Berwick-upon-Tweed.

Nick Dawe, director of Lindisfarne Homes added: “We are very grateful to Silverstone Building Consultancy and Tolent Living, who have done a fantastic job of delivering this scheme to the required specifications and within budget.  The development has proven to be very popular with only two homes remaining, so we are delighted with the results.”
