Middlesbrough and District Dog Training Association, the only Kennel Club registered training club in the town, are hosting a Doggy Fun Day at Hemlington Recreation Centre fields, off Cass House Road, Hemlington with something to tempt all dogs and their owners.
The day will feature a Fun Dog Show with rosettes and prizes up for grabs in 10 classes with categories including Best Pedigree, Cross Breed, Rescue, Child Handler, Puppy, Veteran and Tit-Bit Catcher, with entries at £1 per class
The canine capers are open to pooches of all shapes and sizes, pedigree and non-pedigree. Registration for classes is from 10am, with judging of the classes from 11am and lasting well into the afternoon. Dog owners can come along the day and simply enter as many classes as they wish.
This will all run alongside a ‘Have a Go’ ring for Agility and Flyball demonstrations
Club Chairperson Beryl McDonald “We’re delighted to be holding another fun show after the successes over recent years and response so far indicates it’ll be a great day again this year with a good turnout.
“We continue to offer our weekly pet training classes at St Chad’s Church Hall on Monday evenings, but also really enjoy running one-off fun events such as this where anyone can come along on the day, enter our fun classes, have a go agility, learn more about flyball or simply enjoy spectating”
