Visitors can find out how fashionistas of the past ‘Dressed to Impress’ at a special event at the Head of Steam – Darlington Railway Museum next month (February).
Tickets are now on sale for The History Wardrobe event which takes place at the North Road Station museum on Sunday, 12 February, at 1.30pm.
‘Dressed to Impress’ takes the audience on a journey through the fashions of the 20th century, from 1930s sophistication to the swinging 60s and the outrageous 80s. It features sensational special occasion outfits, ball gowns as well as work suits, first date frocks and frillies for the wedding night.
Sarah Gouldsbrough, Acting Museum Manager, said: “The History Wardrobe brings the past to life through the many different types of clothes that people wore, from everyday wear to outfits for special occasions.
“The events have proved a popular addition to our programme and we’re delighted to welcome the team back to the museum.”
Tickets are priced at £8.50, which includes admission to the museum and tea or coffee. History Wardrobe performances are always popular and pre-booking is essential.
