Durham law firm listed in Legal 500

A LEADING COUNTY Durham law firm is celebrating  once again after being listed in the country’s most prestigious rankings.

EMG Solicitors based at Rivergreen Business Centre, Durham has been recognised in the Legal 500 –the UK’s leading guide to law firms.

And this year the firm has been named in two categories, for its work in  personal tax, trusts and probate matters and for  family law.

EMG was recognised as “the premier independent Court of Protection practice in the North East” , while company founder, Emma Gaudern was rated for her “personable approach, her experience and for the confidence she commands from all quarters.”

Her colleague Jemma Morland was also recognised for her “niche expertise” in the financial aspects of the 2014 Care Act.

The company has not only moved up the rankings this year but has also been included in the northern family law section for the first time.

EMG is highlighted for its specialist knowledge in surrogacy issues, while also singling out Natalia Lalas for praise for her “civil partnership expertise.”

The Legal 500 United Kingdom is published annually and is recognised as the leading guide to law firms in the country, with more than 4,000,000 people consulting it every year.
