East Durham Homes shortlisted for three TPAS awards

CaptureEmployees and tenants of East Durham Homes are celebrating after being shortlisted for three prestigious awards.

East Durham Homes is in the running for three TPAS awards:

TPAS awards recognise excellence in tenant engagement and reward tenants, teams and organisations that go the extra mile to make communities safer and more desirable places to live.

Steven Dawson, Customer Involvement Officer at East Durham Homes, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be shortlisted for these awards, as it shows that the way we involve and engage our tenants is worthy of recognition.

“Joyce Lovack was nominated for the Tenant of the Year Award for her amazing dedication to improving our services and her active role in the community.

“Our Customer Inspection and Improvement Panel are a group of customer volunteers that continually help us to inspect our services, identify issues and develop and deliver improvements.

“And our Customer Training Programme has evolved to provide courses on a variety of subjects including energy, welfare and employability, while still providing excellent value for money.

“Now it’s just a case of crossing our fingers until the awards are announced.”

The winners of each award will be announced at the northern final of the 2016 TPAS Awards, which takes place on Friday, 29 April.
