Electrical power training specialist, The Faraday Training Centre Ltd continues its growth phase with the launch of a new course.
The Faraday Training Centre Ltd has launched a new three-day Wind Farm HV Cable Termination course, which will train electrical engineers on how to correctly prepare HV cables for wind farm applicable termination.
The course will also provide insight into how a cable is constructed and the function of individual components as well as topics such as: electrical fields and stress control, electrical connections and cable testing.
The Faraday Training Centre Ltd forms part of The Faraday Training Group, an international electrical training provider which boasts purpose-built facilities in Teesside and Limassol, Cyprus. The Faraday Training Group offers an extensive range of electrical power training courses including low voltage, high voltage, electrical protection, testing courses and marine and offshore courses, as well as training packages.
The launch of this course comes at a time of rapid growth for the training provider which has already launched several new courses this year. This includes: A Hybrid Electrical Safety Awareness course; Up-Skilling, which aims to enhance the skills of those who work within the electrical sector and was established in response to the growing demand for multi-skilled technicians; three new EAL low voltage courses; and a Refresher in the Safe Operation of Offshore/Maritime High Voltage Power Systems course, which was established following customer requests.
To accommodate its growth, the company has recently employed two new lecturers and four lead tutors who will deliver the company’s expanding range of courses; and has announced plans to move to the Wilton Centre, Redcar in September 2017. The move, which is the Wilton Centre’s largest letting for a decade, will see The Faraday Training Centre almost double its existing training and office space to a 4000m² facility which offers three purpose-designed practical areas. The move is also anticipated to create up to six additional lecturing jobs.
Stuart Corner, technical sales manager at The Faraday Training Centre, said: “The Faraday Training Centre has delivered electrical power training for over 25 years, and is renowned for offering courses of the highest calibre. We do this by creating, adapting and improving our courses in line with industry and customer demands – the Wind Farm HV Cable Termination course is a prime example of this.
“This course includes a lot of hands-on training so it makes for an informative and enjoyable session. As with all our courses, this will provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to carry out their work to a high standard and as safely as possible.
“This is a truly exciting time for the company and I am confident that we will continue to grow and be a leading provider of electrical power training – developing our courses to continually offer customers a world-class service.”
