A trainee accountant at audit, tax and consulting firm RSM has been awarded a top industry accolade for the Northern region in her recent ICAEW examinations.

Amy Thorns was the top candidate in the North of England in audit and assurance as well as financial accounting and reporting – highlighting a significant academic accomplishment.

Amy will be presented with her awards from the ICAEW president, Dr Hilary Lindsay FCA, at a special annual event organised by the Northern Society of Chartered Accountants – set up to publicly commend high achievers in all Northern ICAEW examinations.

The prestigious award ceremony will be held in the King’s Hall at Newcastle University on Saturday 6 May 2017.
