Located in the dramatic setting of Church Square in Hartlepool, the BA (Hons) Fashion Degree students from Cleveland College of Art & Design’s (CCAD) university campus showcased their colourful and creative designs on the catwalk. With professional models, pounding music and a packed crowd of family, friends and invited guests, the  fashion show, themed ‘21 Collective’ featuring stunning collections for menswear, womenswear, lingerie and teenage boys wear.

Fashion Enterprise degree student Amy Rogers, 22 from Middlesbrough, produced a stunning collection of lingerie, which was influenced by the anniversary of WW1, using the structure and elements of the military uniforms.

She said: “The build-up was really hectic but exciting and it was all worth it in the end as the show was great. It made the whole year of preparation worth it. My friends and family thought it was amazing, they were really proud of me and how much I had come along in the past three years after doing graphics at college.

Amy plans to begin her fashion career in visual merchandising, buying or fashion promotion.

21-year old Chloe Bethwaite, originally from Cumbria and now living in Hartlepool, has just completed her BA (Hons) Fashion degree and took part in the show. Her inspiration for her collection was the transgender community and the struggles faced within clothing.
