A flooring company is approaching the final hurdle in its bid to raise over £10,000 for one of the UK’s leading charities for young people.
And fittingly, Sedgefield Racecourse is the next event on the cards for Connection Flooring as it continues its support of The Prince’s Trust.
The Shildon-based company, an official associate of The Prince’s Trust, is taking part in the charity’s ‘Million Makers’ challenge which sees organisations across the UK compete over a six-month period, to raise as much money as possible for the Trust.
Following a staff three million steps challenge earlier in the year and a recent successful summer ball, which took the money raised for The Prince’s Trust to over £1,700, Connection Flooring is hoping its ‘Singers Showcase’ event on Saturday 5th October will move it closer to its minimum target of £10,000.
Singers Showcase will see five local singers – Aryana, Toni Anderson, Olivia Irvin, Chelsea Morison and Kelly Freeman – performing at Sedgefield Racecourse.
The evening includes a raffle, with top prizes including an overnight stay at Redworth Hall Hotel & Spa and many more.
A special guest speaker from The Prince’s Trust will give people an insight into how the money raised will help local young people who may be struggling to develop the skills needed to thrive both in their career and personal life.
Dan Foskett, Managing Director of Connection Flooring, said: “We’re proud to be an official associate of The Prince’s Trust and to have so far been able to raise over £1,700 through the Million Makers challenge.
“There’s still three months left of the challenge, so we are hoping the Singers Showcase event will push use even closer to the minimum target of £10,000 we set at the start.
“The Prince’s Trust is an amazing organisation providing life-changing opportunities for disadvantaged young people in our area, and as a local, independent business we are committed to doing as much as we can to support the charity.
“Please come and support the Singers Showcase. Not only will you have a great night of entertainment, by buying a ticket you will be making a real difference to people’s lives.”
Tickets for the Singers Showcase can be purchased via the what’s on section of the Sedgefield Racecourse website.
