THE benefits of buying a new build home will be shared at a special launch day which will unveil the second phase of a luxury Tyneside housing development.
Miller Homes North East’s Longridge Farm at Bedlington is due to start work this spring on the additional 165 properties at the scheme, which will offer a range of two, three, four and five bedroom homes.
And now on January 28 would-be buyers can attend a drop-in event – which will run from 11am to 4pm – to see the new houses available along with having the option of a free consultation with a mortgage adviser.
Experts from Safeguard Financial Services will be on hand, to share the good news on current decreasing mortgage rates and why now it a good time to buy.
And the North East-based advisers will also explain the advantages of a new build home – and the benefits it can bring.
Wayne Curry from Safeguard Financial Services said that “buying a property means an investment for the future.”
“The mortgage that people pay can often be cheaper than their current rent,” said Wayne.
“And while we know everyone is worrying about the cost of living and energy prices, new build properties are top A or B rating for energy efficiency, compared to around two per cent of existing properties.”
According to Safeguard, based on current figures – which may be subject to change – the monthly mortgage payment for a £250,000 property with a 10 per deposit over a 35yrs term would be £1126.12 – more than comparable to many rent charges.
Prospective buyers who go to the open day will be able to find out information about their potential dream homes and the best financial options currently available.
As an added incentive, attendees who register in advance will be entered into a prize draw with the chance to win a gift basket of locally sourced produce, courtesy of Coastal Hamper.
Everyone who turns up on the day will also get a Miller Homes goody bag to take away.
The development has already proved extremely popular, particularly because of its prime location surrounded by open countryside and its close proximity to Blyth and the coast.
Aisling Ramshaw, Sales Director at Miller Homes North East is excited to share the latest stage of the development.
“Longridge Farm has already proved really popular and we are fully confident that this second phase will be as positively received as the first,” she said.
“These new houses have been created to the highest standard and with some really fantastic features as well as being energy efficient, which is so important in the current climate.
“Research carried out by the Home Builders Federation showed that new builds can lead to energy savings of around £2600 a year – a really significant amount.
“We are looking forward to being able to highlight that and the many other positives of this development to would be buyers coming along on the day.”
The event on 28 January is free to attend and anyone interested can pop in throughout the day or can register at Longridge Farm – https://www.eventbrite.com/e/expert-homebuying-advice-at-longridge-farm-bedlington-tickets-511899263477 – to be entered into the prize hamper draw.
