Hambleton businesses will be able to speak to funding experts at this month’s Thirsty Thursday event in Stokesley.
The free networking event has invited Liz Barker, enterprise partner officer from the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding Enterprise Partnership to advise businesses of all about the range of funding opportunities for small businesses in Hambleton.
Thirsty Thursday is a free, monthly networking event for businesses and organisations in and around Stokesley to exchange ideas and expertise as well as promote their services, skills and opportunities
Each event attracts over 40 businesses and has been a popular event since its launch in 2014. The networking group is the current holder of the Hambleton Champion 2016 award from Hambleton District Council, receiving the recognition for providing support and resources for local businesses.
The networking event is organised by Anna Addison, who runs PR company Anna Addison Associates, and Sue Thompson, who runs Catch Design Management.
Anna said: “Funding is an issue that can be really confusing. The perception is that there isn’t any available, especially if you’re a very small business or a sole trader. However, that’s not the case and Liz will be able to explain more about how people can get extra support to help sustain or grow their companies.”
Thirsty Thursday, held at The Mill on Springfield, is free to attend.
