Housebuilder, David Wilson Homes North East, is hosting a tree planting ceremony to honour the work of local hospice charity.

23 May 2018: Local housebuilder, David Wilson Homes North East, will be hosting a fundraising event to honour Middleborough-based children’s hospice Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice. The event, which will be open to the public, will see the housebuilder planting a tree at its Grey Towers Village development on the 26th of May at 11am.

The housebuilder is encouraging the local community to help celebrate the event and support the charity, where they can purchase and personalise a decoration, which will then be hung on the tree. All funds raised will be matched by David Wilson Homes North East and donated to Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice.

Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice provides care and support 24 hours a day for both their child patients and their families. They work to offer respite care through some of the most difficult times to ensure the needs of the children and their families are met.

Steven Ball, Sales Manager at Grey Towers Village, commented:

“We’re always looking for ways we can give back to and support the communities in which we build. Zoë’s Place is a wonderful organisation doing amazing things for families across the North East so we were really keen to support it with a fundraising event. All of us at David Wilson Homes North East would like to welcome the local community to come down to Grey Towers Village on the 26th of May, personalise a decoration for the tree and play their part in supporting the charity. We will also be matching any funds raised so make sure you come down!”

Sue Fox, Corporate Fundraiser for Zoë’s Place, said:

“We can’t thank David Wilson Homes North East enough for their generous fundraising event. Any donations made on the day will be extremely valuable to the hospice and we can’t wait to see the tree fully decorated on the day. Not only will the housebuilder, along with help from the community, be donating money but the tree will also act as a beautiful reminder of the work Zoe’s Place does and all the families we have helped over the years.”
