A new revolutionary low-calorie lager (that actually tastes amazing) is set to shake up the global beer market.
The experts at ROLEY’S have discovered a new brewing science that reduces fermentation time to seven hours without compromising taste.
Combined with a series of secret, all-natural ingredients ROLEY’S Super Natural Lager has already won Best International Lager (UK) at the World Beer Awards 2025.

The wunderkind has taken 10 years to develop, and the result is a lager which contains just 0.1g of sugar, and only 89 calories per 330ml can – 35.8% fewer than other 4.4% lagers.
The breakthrough beer is the brainchild of former professional rugby player Stewart Rowley, who, back in the day, would think nothing of downing half a dozen pints after a hard-fought match for Harlequins.
But fast forward 20-odd years, and today’s beer drinkers are more health-conscious and discerning than the previous generation, particularly women.
Identifying individuals who want a cleaner, more conscious lifestyle, ROLEY’S is now also the official beer partner of HYROX, the global fitness racing series.
Entrepreneur Rowley said: “We have to be careful about the language used to describe Roley’s as the field is very regulated, but the beer is packed with vitamins, like B3, B5, and B9.
“We want to position ourselves away from traditional lagers and show that we are the new option for people, inspirational people, that work hard and play hard. This will benefit everyone. You can save calories and not have the guilt of drinking a full-calorie beer afterwards. Roley’s is here for people who want to live well and still raise a glass. Women tend to prefer us because there’s no sugar, there’s no bloating, no nonsense.
“For the World Beer Awards to say we’re as good as any other beer, or better than any of the other beers internationally, in terms of taste is huge. I’m so proud of our award. It’s been a long time in development, but it’s definitely worth the wait.”
The beer was developed using ROLEY’S SmartBrew process, a technology created in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University that allows beer to ferment much faster than traditional brewing methods. It means the beer is ready to drink in 7 hours rather than the four or five days it takes other beers to finish fermenting.
The process not only improves brewing efficiency and sustainability but also opens the door for innovation across the wider drinks sector.
Rowley said his own experience after quitting rugby led to the Eureka moment. “Like many former athletes, I learned the hard way that you can’t keep eating like a rugby player when you no longer train like one.
After I quit, the weight started creeping on, and as I was working in the fast-paced drinks industry, it meant I was drinking most days.
Before long, I found myself struggling to perform, both personally and professionally. That’s when Roley’s journey began. I thought, well I can’t change, so the beer has to change! Now we have a product that blows away the competition because of the quality we offer.”
