North East Connected

Glass Slipper to Glass Venue

Wedding NGCBudding Cinderellas are being invited to find out how they can swap their glass slipper for a fairy tale wedding venue in the North East.

On Thursday March 5, National Glass Centre, Sunderland will be staging a wedding open evening to showcase the unique, contemporary venue, available for celebrations involving between 10 and 200 guests.

From 6pm until 7.30pm the riverside venue, which underwent a £2m refurbishment in 2013, will be dressed to host a civil ceremony, wedding breakfast and reception, to help engaged couples visualise their special day.

Wedding co-ordinators from 1879 Events Management, which manages events at National Glass Centre, will be on hand throughout the evening to offer tours and answer questions about the variety of creative and unusual finishing touches available at the Centre.

There will also be an opportunity for visitors to watch a glass blowing demonstration, enjoy a glass of Prosecco, sample food from the wide range of menus offered and find out more about the venue’s competitively priced wedding packages.
