September sees the People’s Theatre in Heaton back with a line-up of plays that offers something for everyone!
George Orwell’s ANIMAL FARM, with its famous quote “all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others” couldn’t be more relevant and we’re excited to bring this fable to our stage next month. Like the stunning More Light earlier this year, this is a co-production with our talented Young People’s Theatre.
After that audiences can visit Maplins holiday camp with classic comedy HI-DE-HI!, spend Halloween with DRACULA, enjoy tinsel and tears in Ayckbourn’s uproarious SEASON’S GREETINGS and round the year off with our fun-packed family Panto ALADDIN. We then welcome in the New Year with Agatha Christie whodunit GO BACK FOR MURDER and round the Season off with Hugh Whitemore’s tender and moving portrait of Alan Turing in BREAKING THE CODE.
We also continue our exciting partnership with The Biscuit Factory, and the next exhibition in our Gallery is ‘Born with a Darker Tan’ by Jayamini de Silva.
