Growing businesses from across South Tyneside have benefited from the expertise of two of the region’s top business leaders, thanks to an initiative supported by Invest South Tyneside.

Ian Kinnery, scale up expert and managing director of Team Massive Results, and Neil Stephenson, entrepreneur and former CEO of Onyx, led a series of six intensive and interactive workshops for business owners looking to develop and grow their business.

The workshops were facilitated by Invest South Tyneside on behalf of South Tyneside Council, in partnership with the University of Sunderland, as part of their commitment to supporting local businesses to scale up, increase sales and improve their marketing.

Cllr John Anglin, Lead Member for Regeneration and Economy on South Tyneside Council, said: “The aim of Invest South Tyneside is to help local businesses grow and we felt we could substantially add value and support that process by enlisting the expertise and guidance of Ian and Neil – two of the most experienced and successful business leaders in the North East.

“These workshops were designed to help entrepreneurs drive their business forward and achieve measurable results.  A huge thanks to Ian and Neil for enabling us to do just that and for supporting the business community in South Tyneside.”

Ian is a former European Coach of the year and through Team Massive Results provides business owners with a practical ‘how to’ approach for growth which involves focusing on four critical business decisions – people, cash, strategy and execution.

Neil spearheaded the development of Onyx into a multi-million pound organisation and has now turned his attention to helping other business owners, by sharing his extensive sales and marketing expertise and strategies.
