The Butterwick Hospice was established in 1984 as The John Butterwick Day Care Centre by the incredible and courageous Mary Butterwick. An amazing journey has seen the hospice grow from strength to strength with three hospice centres now operating in Stockton and Bishop Auckland along with three outreach centres attached to hospitals in Sedgefield, Stanhope and Barnard Castle. All providing care for people of all ages who are living with a progressive life limiting illness
All of The Butterwick Hospice’s services are provided free of charge to those diagnosed with illness and to their loved ones, for which they rely upon donations from businesses and the public to fund the care. Karl Harvey, owner of Harvey Electrical Services said:
“The Butterwick Hospice is a charity very close to my heart, words cannot describe the great work they do and the support they provide to those in need. We do everything we can to support them, we regularly attend fundraising events and pledging our support for them never came into question. I am very proud to support such a worthy cause”
As a supporter, Harvey Electrical Services attend various corporate and networking events held by the Butterwick Hospice’s corporate department. It enables businesses to integrate even further into the community and to help spread the Butterwick Hospice message.
Karl was presented his official supporter certificate by Chief Executive of the Butterwick Hospice, Graham Leggatt-Chidgey, at a recent networking event at The Judges Hotel, Yarm.
