Hilarity Bites at Bishop Auckland Town Hall will end its year in fits of laughter as top comedians head to the stage.
Comedian Seymour Mace, who has featured on Dave’s One Night Stand, will be headlining an evening of stand-up on Friday 18 November along with George Lewis and host for the evening, MC Andy Fury.
In just a few years, Andy has impressed audiences with a mix of self-deprecating dark jokes and off-the-wall surrealism.
Next up is geeky self-assured, George Lewis. Following in the footsteps of Jack Whitehall and Sarah Millican, George won the Amused Moose Laugh Off at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe.
With awards including Nando’s New Comedian of the Year Award, The Brighton Festival New Act of the Year Award, the Comedy Cafe New Act Night and the Comedy Knights Fresh Comedian of the Year, George will deliver barrels of laughter with his intuitive subversive humour.
Headliner Seymour will take the audience on a journey exploring his childlike look into relationships and naïve investigations into why things are.
The show begins at 7.30pm and tickets, priced at £8 in advance (£10 on the door), are available by contacting 03000 269 524 or by visiting the venue in person.
The comedy club will be back at Bishop Auckland Town Hall in 2017 with some top acts to follow in the footsteps of the town hall’s 2016 comedians.
