County Durham Housing Group brings together employees from Dale & Valley Homes, Durham City Homes and East Durham Homes, following the transfer of Durham County Council’s former 18,400 housing stock, and wants to tell its staff about the benefits of learning in the workplace.
A range of roadshows are taking place this week to update almost 450 employees on the group’s organisational development opportunities, from one-day courses to longer-term training programmes, and remind people that you are never too old to learn something new.
Joanne Taylor, Learning and Development Officer at County Durham Housing Group, said: “Investing in our staff now that we are part of a single housing group is very important to us.
“By nurturing talents and helping staff to learn and grow we can only help to improve the services we offer to our tenants.”
Learning at Work Week runs from Monday, 18 to Sunday, 24 May and is an annual event that puts the spotlight on the importance of developing employees through training in the workplace.
