This is the final walk of a series that have taken place every month since February. These walks have ranged from a family friendly Gruffalo walk during the summer holidays to a walk around Eggleston for Heritage Open Days! The series has been part of the Partnership’s Trails through Teesdale Programme which aims to provide local people and visitors with the knowledge they need to make the most of exploring the area, by providing leaflets, booklets and audio trails.
The walk is free of charge but booking is essential. The walk takes in a number of stiles along the way and uneven ground. Children are welcomed if the parents think they can walk such distance. Children must be supervised at all times. Dogs are also welcome but must be kept under close control at all times as there is livestock in some fields. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear. The walk will take approximately 2.5 hours so please bring your own refreshments, especially a drink.
If you wish to attend a walk please ensure that you book a place. Contact Alex Sijpesteijn, on 03000 260842 or alex.sijpesteijn@durham.gov.uk
