KIDS EAT HALF PRICE AT ANTLER THIS SUMMER HOLIDAY…

NEWCASTLE’S newest restaurant is giving parents the chance to dine out and save some cash this summer holiday with half price dining for kids.

Antler at the city’s 55 Degrees North became Tyneside’s first Alpine-themed bar-restaurant when it opened its doors last month.

And now it is gearing up for the summer holidays with a six-week deal where kids can eat half price with every adult meal purchased.

The restaurant serves a feast of Alpine-inspired treats including Bratwurst and Bockwursts, classic Schnitzels and Goulash along with a choice of stone-baked pizzas.

Its children’s menu includes four different dishes – baby brat, a grilled Bratwurst with fries and dipping sauce, Bambi burger which is a choice of small chicken schnitzel or beef burger with fries, mini Margarita, a small freshly stone-baked pizza with fries and moo and mash, which is Bavarian beef stew with mash and red cabbage.

These are served until 7pm each day and are normally priced at £4.50, which includes a refillable cordial drink. From 20 July until 9 September, these will be available half price under the deal.

Gary Hutchinson, owner of Chrysalis Leisure which owns Antler and its upstairs Buddha restaurant, is looking forward to welcoming families during the holidays.

“The summer holidays are a fabulous time for families to spend time together, and for anyone not going away or who are looking for things to do close to home, eating out can be costly,” he said.

“We wanted to encourage families of all ages into Antler over the break, and felt it would be a good idea to offer half price meals for children to make it more affordable.”

“Since we opened last month, we’ve had a wonderful response and now we just want to let others know that we’re here and open during the day to families. We can’t wait to welcome new visitors young and old during the summer holiday.”
