A POPULAR charity ball returns to County Durham next month (May) – and there’s still time to buy tickets.
The Lobster Ball takes place at Hardwick Hall Hotel, at Sedgefield on 17 May, with an evening of first class entertainment in aid of Daisy Chain, which supports families with autism.
And the event has been in high demand this year – with only a fraction of the tables remaining for diners hoping to secure their place at the fundraiser.
Guests at the ball will enjoy a performance from headline act The Bootleg Beatles, who have been playing as the fab four for more than three decades and have entertained audiences around the world.
Then, Rob Lamberti will pay tribute to the late great George Michael with both his Wham! hits and solo tracks and Diane Shaw will entertain diners with a selection of Motown classics, along with her own original music.
And Steve Walls returns to compere the black tie event, which will also feature a fashion show from Durham-based menswear brand Woven.
Tickets cost £145 per person plus VAT and includes a four-course lobster surf and turf menu from the award-winning chefs at the Rib Room Steakhouse and Grill and complimentary wine, lager and beer all night.
John Adamson, who owns Ramside Estates which owns Hardwick Hall Hotel, believes this year’s event will be one of the best yet.
“The Lobster Ball is a fantastic evening and the money raised goes towards helping a very well deserving cause,” said John.
“We have some incredible talent lined up this year so it’s sure to be a great show and our chefs never fail to create a delicious menu.
“The event is always very popular and this year is no different, so I’d advise anyone hoping to come to buy their tickets sooner rather than later to avoid missing out.”
