Arctic Piranha club nights take place at ARC every few months and have been created to specially cater for learning disabled adults and their friends, and they offer a chill out area and safe spaces to dance and socialise.
The theme this month is all things Halloween. Expect plenty of spooky songs, ghoulish decorations and lots of laid back fun and games as well as some specially crafted creepy cocktails.
Arctic Piranha came about at the request of learning disabled people in the Tees Valley who were looking for somewhere safe to enjoy a night-clubbing experience.
Christopher Evans, 22, who helps to plan the events said: “Arctic Piranha is a brilliant club. We are adults and want a good night out, so we just want to promote it to as many people as possible.”
Arctic Piranha club nights form part of Cultural Shift, a three year project funded by the Spirit of 2012 Trust. Cultural Shift, delivered by ARC in partnership with Little Cog, is a comprehensive three year programme of dynamic arts activity involving disabled people at every level.
