Local communications firm excited about Middlesbrough’s invite to be a SuperConnected City

Synergy Telecoms, a Teesside based communications provider, has received notification that Middleborough has been invited to be part of the Super Connected Cities Voucher scheme. This initiative, which should hopefully commence in April, will mean businesses in qualifying areas can get government connection vouchers, of up to £3000, toward superfast internet connections. The scheme has been running successfully in 22 other cities since 2011.

The scheme is designed to encourage business to get online faster allowing them to become more efficient, more profitable and look to create jobs, nearby cities already with the scheme include Leeds, York and Newcastle. Getting involved is simple, a business needs to contact a pre-approved supplier and obtain a quotation for superfast connectivity.

Paul Alsop, Director of Synergy Telecoms said. “This is great news for Middlesbrough and Teesside in general, we have been involved with the scheme in other areas and look forward to helping businesses on our Doorstep realise the benefits of a superfast integrated communications Infrastructure. Businesses starved of fast reliable internet can look forward to more efficient business practices, perhaps looking at cloud computing, reliable VoIP and better flexible working for remote users.”

Middlesbrough have not yet officially accepted the invitation to the scheme, but with the competitive advantages available utilising funding from the scheme, full participation in the scheme should be confirmed by the middle of March. Advanced planning is recommended, the benefits available can truly revolutionise small and medium businesses alike. Having assisted firms throughout the northeast through the application process, the team at Synergy Telecoms would be delighted to discuss how the benefits of superfast internet can be harnessed by any organisation.
