Olivia Carmody, an eight year-old girl from Leeds, has been crowned the creative champion of the area following a colouring competition held by Barratt Homes over Halloween.

The competition encouraged children from the local area to get creative and show off their art skills by picking up a Halloween themed colouring sheet from the nearby St Oswald’s View development in Methley. Olivia’s colourful entry was selected as the winner by the Barratt Homes team, and she has been awarded the prize of a bundle of arts and crafts goodies worth £50.

Stacey Berkeley, Sales Manager at St Oswald’s View, commented: “We had so many brilliant entries to choose from for this competition, it really wasn’t an easy choice. However, it was obvious from Olivia’s entry the care and time she’d put into creating a brilliant picture. We loved her use of colour and imagination, and we are delighted to crown her the winner. We hope that she enjoys getting creative with her fab pack of arts and craft goodies and continues to develop her artistic skills.”

Emma, Olivia’s Mum commented: “Olivia was so excited when she heard that she was the winner of Barratt Homes’ colouring competition and is over the moon with her prize. She’s really creative so when we heard our local Barratt Homes development was running this competition we were first in line to pick up an entry sheet! It’s so nice that Barratt Homes run activities like this with the local community, what a lovely way to end the year.”

St Oswald’s View is a stunning collection of three and four bedroom homes set in the village of Methley. The development has excellent links to nearby Leeds, Wakefield and Castleford making it ideal for first time buyers and growing families alike. Homes are available from £229,995.
