Manor Walks to host free family activities this summer

Manor Walks Cramlington is offering a range of free, family fun for all ages to keep children entertained during the summer school holidays.

During August children can enjoy being a pirate or princess for the day, play crazy golf and giant games, as well as getting crafty with different art and colouring in activities. Families can also take advantage of what Manor Walks, Cramlington has to offer with plenty of time to shop and dine in-between the free family fun.

The activities begin from 10am to 3pm on Friday 10th August when Manor Walks’ Pirate and Princess Day returns for its eight consecutive year. The popular family day out is packed full of themed activities and competitions. Children are invited to dress up as pirate or princess to have the opportunity to meet their sea-savvy swashbuckling heroes and fairy-tale heroines.

Following this event families can explore their creative side on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th of August by getting arty with pirate crafts and colouring in activities. Then from Thursday 16th August to Saturday 18th August children can play some  giant games including Twister, Connect 4 and chess and try and achieve top spot over their mum, dad, sister or brother.

Families who enjoy getting competitive can try to score a hole in one on Manor Walks very own Crazy Golf course. From Thursday 23rd to Saturday the 25th of August, children can challenge their friends and family to complete the nine hole course. Rounding off the fun on Friday 31st August customers can take part in a sand art craft event and make a souvenir to take home.

Bruno Coppola, General Manager at Manor Walks Shopping Centre, said: “We’re delighted to be offering so many free family-friendly events during the summer holidays, as we know how difficult it can be to keep the kids entertained for six weeks.

“We also know this can be an expensive time for parents, so we hope families will come along and take advantage of our free programme of events this August as there is definitely something for everyone.

“Families can also spend the day at Manor Walks and enjoy all of our fantastic shopping, leisure and dining facilities. We can’t wait to see everyone in centre this summer.”

Don’t forget there’s also a host of family entertainment to enjoy over the summer, including catching the latest release at Vue Cramlington, which features the North East’s largest screen. Getting active at Concordia Leisure Centre with its range of activities such as bowling climbing, swimming, soft play and Clip n Climb. Enjoying a bit to eat at Manor Walks’ range of independent cafes and restaurants as well as family favorite restaurants Sambucas, Nando’s and Frankie & Bennys.
