Masonic Hall, Old Elvet, Durham City

As part of World Wide effort to celebrate 300 years of Freemasonry, The Masonic Hall, Old Elvet, Durham City will be opening its doors to the public on Saturday 24th June 2017 between 3 and 6pm, 300 years to the day when freemasons in it’s current format was formed.
On this day, as well as a whole host of fun activities and prizes for all of the family several cheques will be presented to local charities around 5.30pm.
The Hall will also host a Teddy Bears Picnic where every local child and their bear are invited, this is an extension of our Tender Loving Care scheme, this scheme has supplied every A&E Department within the old boundaries of County Durham with over 75,000 teddies over the last ten years with over 2 million supplied World Wide. These are given by the A&E nurses, at their discretion to distressed young children in need of comfort and support and have been a huge success since their introduction.
