MIDDLESBOROUGH’S Bistrot Pierre has caught royal wedding fever, launching a regal giveaway for couples over the weekend of the most anticipated event of the year.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will tie the knot on Saturday 19 May at Windsor Castle – but don’t worry if your invite got lost in the post, Bistrot Pierre is giving Middlesborough’s own couples with the same name a free delicious two course meal and a bottle of fizz.

“From Friday 18 May to Sunday 20 May we will be giving couples also named Harry and Meghan the royal treatment and offering them a complimentary two course meal and bottle of fizz  – enabling them to enjoy the royal wedding in style,” said general manager, Salvatore Savino.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to try our new Spring menu which includes new and classic French flavours – from our poulet printanier to our newly introduced cassolette de moules – which is a baked ramekin of mussels, spinach and a garlic cream sauce served with sourdough toast, a new firm favourite in our bistrot.” .

“It’s also been rumoured that the canapés at the royal wedding will include ‘sausage rolls, tartlets and mini croque monsieur’. We’re delighted that a French classic has made it into the mix.

“Our bistrot prepares fresh food daily – using produce and recipes sourced from France to give our diners an authentic bistrot experience and we look forward to welcoming Harry and Meghans – as well as new and returning customers – over what I’m sure will be a fabulous weekend.

“Wedding fever has well and truly hit the country and we’re delighted to be joining in and offering something a little different in Middlesborough.”
