Millbrook Healthcare deploys specialist fleet to support emergency and frontline NHS services

Millbrook Healthcare is ensuring vulnerable people receive the support they need with a new fleet of 136 specialist vans supplied by Mercedes-Benz Vans Dealer Marshall Motor Group Ltd. The vehicles will play a vital role in maintaining essential community equipment services delivered on behalf of the NHS and local authorities.

Millbrook Healthcare’s teams are responsible for delivering, installing and maintaining vital mobility equipment that enables people to live safely and independently at home. From supporting urgent hospital discharges to carrying out emergency equipment repairs, these services become even more critical over the winter season, when demand increases and families depend on timely assistance for loved ones with disabilities, long-term conditions or rehabilitation needs.

The fleet includes 102 of the 315 CDI L3H2 PRO Sprinter Panel Vans, 22 of the 315 CDI L2H2 PRO Sprinter Panel Vans, and 12 of the 110 CDI L1 Citan Panel Vans, all tailored specifically to meet Millbrook Healthcare’s operational requirements.

Each van is purpose-built to protect specialist equipment and allow mobility aids to be loaded and unloaded safely. Dash cameras and in-cab driver technology help support drivers on the road, promoting safer driving behaviours, improving compliance standards and helping the organisation plan more efficient routes across its nationwide operations.

Kevin Downham, Fleet Sales Manager from Marshall Motor Group LTD commented: “We’ve been proud to work with Millbrook Healthcare since 2012 so fulfilling their largest order yet – over 120 vans in just three months – has been a real pleasure.

“Partnering with Gary Burnham, Millbrook Healthcare’s Service Centre Manager, throughout the process made it seamless and knowing these vehicles support the NHS in creating safe homes for those in need makes it all the more rewarding.”

The new partnership will provide three years of full repair and maintenance for the vans through the Mercedes-Benz Vans ServiceCare Complete Plan, which includes wear-and-tear repairs and MOT testing. In addition, Millbrook Healthcare will benefit from the free-of-charge 24/7 roadside assistance and minor-mishap cover offered under the Mercedes-Benz Vans MobiloVan programme. This extended support package will help keep Millbrook Healthcare’s teams on the road, minimise downtime, and maintain uninterrupted support for service users.

The vehicles are now in service across nine locations including Portsmouth, Southampton, Buckinghamshire, Oxford, Berkshire, Lincoln, Brighton, Torbay and Plymouth, helping ensure Millbrook Healthcare’s teams can reach service users quickly and reliably.

Sarah Palfreyman, Sales Director of Mercedes-Benz Vans in the UK said, “Millbrook Healthcare plays a crucial role in helping people live safely and independently at home and we’re honoured to supply vehicles that support this vital work.

“We are proud to support the team at Marshalls Truck and Van in delivering dependable, purpose-built vans to keep organisations like Millbrook on the road and supporting communities across the UK.”

Gary Burnham, Service Centre Manager at Millbrook Healthcare said, “Our teams rely on vehicles that are dependable, safe and equipped for the work we do and that is exactly what we get through our partnership with Marshall Truck and Van and Mercedes-Benz Vans.

“These new vans are already supporting our operations across the country and helping us reach service users quickly and deliver high quality equipment which enables them to live safely and independently in their own homes.

“Whenever we place an order, we know the vans will meet the highest standards of quality and reliability which is exactly what our teams need when they are out supporting the people who rely on us.”

This latest deployment demonstrates the commitment of Mercedes-Benz Vans and its Dealer partners to delivering robust and purpose-built fleet solutions for organisations providing vital support to communities across the UK.
