Screen Shot 2015-09-28 at 13.08.59County Durham Housing Group has welcomed a new face to lead on the development of its IT services.

Colin Tempest joins the group as Head of ICT from Mitsubishi Rayon Group, where he was responsible for global projects in the petrochemical industry.

With more than 20 years’ experience, including time within the housing sector at Gentoo, Colin will be a great asset to the newly formed Registered Provider, which brought together landlords Dale & Valley Homes, Durham City Homes and East Durham Homes for the first time since the transfer of ownership from Durham County Council in April this year.

Colin said: “I am thrilled to be part of County Durham Housing Group at such an exciting time, as it starts its journey to make a real difference to people’s homes and neighbourhoods.

“A key part of this is having the right technology in place, to ensure that as an organisation we are both agile and efficient.

“As a service, I am looking forward to developing an innovative IT function that serves our diverse customer groups and communities.”

Colin is one of six new Heads of Service that will join County Durham Housing Group in the coming months, as the organisation starts its quest to fulfil its ‘We believe in life without barriers’ vision.
