A brand new Indian street food restaurant is set to open its doors in the city centre in early May.
Clayton Street is starting to see a revival with the recent opening of the four-star Maldron Hotel as part of a £100m development on the site of the former Newgate Shopping Centre. And it will soon be home to My Delhi, a street food restaurant celebrating the gastronomic delights of India’s capital city.
Specialising in real authentic North Indian cuisine, the restaurant has created a new mouth-watering menu that will consist of dishes you would find in Delhi; from Gol Gappas to Gunpowder Chicken, Afghani Kebab to the infamous Butter Chicken Curry.
The owners have also added an Indo-Chinese section and street food burgers which it claims will start a craze with diners. The Indo-Chinese menu will include Indianised steamed Momos, and a rendition of the popular street food burger called Vada Pav.
They’ve complimented the menu with signature cocktails and mocktails with the help of expert mixologists.
The restaurant’s funky and unique interior is also being designed to give diners a realistic experience that will look out onto the streets of Delhi.
The restaurant will be open every evening 5pm to 12 midnight and open on certain lunchtimes.
