Amy Wadge

Friday 27 March 2020   |   8:00pm

Amy has been performing and releasing music since leaving the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama more than 20 years ago. The practicalities of combining family life with music led Amy to spend more time co-writing with other artistes.

Amy has recently written and recorded six original songs for the hit BBC Wales drama, Keeping Faith.   Faith’s Song is the theme song to this series, which won a Welsh Bafta last year.

With a GRAMMY already under her belt for having co-written Ed Sheeran’s worldwide hit Thinking Out Loud, Amy was an obvious choice for lead actress and fellow RWCMD graduate, Eve Myles, when it came to finding the perfect artist to write the music for the thriller series.

Amy was honoured to have been asked and was sent the scripts which she then used to compose the music that would reflect the lead character’s journey throughout the series. Each of the six songs are featured across the episodes and provide an emotional underscore that proved to make a powerful connection between the show’s characters and viewers alike.

Jason Donovan – ‘Even More Good Reasons’
Thursday 1 October, 7.30pm

Jason Donovan came into our lives in the late 80s as Scott Robinson in the hit Australian soap, Neighbours. Throughout 1988/89 he had several hits and his album, Ten Good Reasons, was the best-selling album of 1989.

His hits include: Too Many Broken Hearts, Especially For You (with Kylie Minogue), Any Dream Will Do, Sealed With A Kiss, When You Come Back to Me, Everyday, Nothing Can Divide Us and many more.

Since then, he has rarely been away from stage or screen. Jason’s record-breaking run in Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat in the early 90s preceded The Rocky Horror Show, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Sound of Music, The King’s Speech and Jeff Wayne’s The War Of The Worlds.

Jason performed at Concert For Diana, reached the finals of I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here and Strictly Come Dancing, found his Australian ancestors on Who Do You Think You Are and in 2018/19, travelled the country, completing 125 shows on his Amazing Midlife Crisis Tour, including a sold out week at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Jason recently worked on his first theatre producing project, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and spent the summer back at the London Palladium as Pharaoh in the sold-out Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Jason can’t wait to play his first music concert tour in four years with his Even More Good Reasons Tour. Don’t miss it!
