Party Time Inflatables, which supplies everything from bouncy castles to sumo suits, had previously relied on storage containers to house its growing stock of equipment.
With the business expanding, and owners Danielle Scott and Richard Wilkinson feeling they needed a suitable base, they recently moved to a unit on Furnace Industrial Estate in Shildon, run by Business Durham, the economic development company for County Durham.
Danielle said she hoped it would help them progress further. “As we’re getting bigger year on year, we needed indoor space to maintain our equipment,” she said.
“We have about 40 different inflatables, so that’s why we moved. Now we can get a van inside and when it’s wet, we can put the inflatables up to dry.
“Since moving into this new unit we can plan to expand in all aspects of the business as it gives us room for more stock and better maintenance facilities.”
Covering a 20-mile radius, Party Time Inflatables provides both indoor and outdoor equipment for events including children’s parties, weddings, christenings and large corporate events.
Danielle said the move had been made easy by Business Durham. “They were always helpful when we rang,” she said. “If we had any questions, they were happy to answer them.”
Simon Goon, managing director of Business Durham, one of the county’s largest commercial property landlords, said: “With the right support and business environment, Danielle and Richard can look forward to even more success as they continue to grow their well established business.”
Party Time Inflatables only supplies equipment that is maintained to a high standard and tested to the level required by the HSE. It also has £5m PLI, offering its customers the reassurance that safety is paramount.
