New programme of summer activities launch for 14 – 19 year olds

Stockton ARCARC have launched a series of activities and film screenings specifically aimed at 14 – 19 year olds that offer lots of fun and are free to attend.

ARC YP is the name of the new young people’s membership scheme at ARC which has launched this summer, and will enable young people of this age range to take part in different creative events and activities on an ongoing basis.

Guaranteed to beat summer holiday boredom, some brilliant fun filled activities start this week and include a photography and film session led by Shane Wreford-Sinnott and a workshop on how to make a fanzine led by Keith Robson. A street dance workshop led by local dance experts, Urban Kaos, will take place in August as well as a multimedia arts workshop by artist Michelle Tripp, where you can transform your own selfie into a piece of art.

Also taking place in August is a tempting chocolate making workshop led by a master chocolatier who will teach the basics of how to make and hand decorate delicious truffles and lollipops.

Mondays throughout August will be dedicated to Movie Mondays. A selection of Marvel superhero films will be screened in ARC’s intimate cinema each Monday exclusively for the young people.

To take part in any or all of the activities and screenings which are all free, young people will need to sign up to the ARC YP scheme by calling ARC’s Box Office on 01642 525199, or by visiting the workshops and classes section on ARC’s website atwww.arconline.co.uk.
