Commerce House in Middlesbrough has had a host of new tenants moving in, so much so that the business community has just four offices left!

Having undergone a £1.2m renovation, the luxury space has attracted some high caliber tenants who are now reaping the rewards of the prestigious TS1 postcode. As well as the North East England Chamber of Commerce and the Department of International Trade, tenants include Certax Teesside, Hainton, Techquity, Aero Commerce, HR Alchemy, Colehouse Communications, Levenvale, TadWeb Solutions and Smart Pads Real Estate.

Virtual tenants to have signed up recently include Bloodrun EVS, Mobibud, Vanquish Steel and STO Consulting are flourishing thanks to the service.

One of the latest to move in, Colehouse Communication’s clients are spread across the UK, including Manchester, London and Bristol but Steve was adamant that he wanted his roots to be in Middlesbrough. And that he would be focused on creating jobs for people from Teesside.

On visiting Commerce House the first time, he knew he had found ‘home’:

“I wasn’t expecting to want to move in when I first visited. But the way the building made me feel was indescribable. It was like stepping into a corporate high end solicitors or a really desirable five star hotel. I was looking for an office where I wanted to spend time, and I was blown away to have found it!

“It has a different feel to other offices I have visited. Commerce House reflects where the company is right now, and both the team and the client base love it here.”

Another tenant is also experiencing a fantastic boost thanks to having an office in the building. Following the launch of a new business earlier this year, Tom Baker of Certax Accountancy is celebrating taking on a second practice in the region and doubling his turnover.

Since securing his new office in Commerce House in Middlesbrough just 8 months ago, Tom has seen the company go from strength to strength. So much so that he has now invested in acquiring a second practice in the Tees Valley area, which has automatically doubled his portfolio.

Tom accredits his success to hard work, ensuring each of his clients gets the personal touch that is then delivered on, and the boosting of his profile and reputation through having a luxury office in Commerce House. He said:

“The opportunity to expand across the Tees Valley came up and I am keen to create opportunity for myself and a team of employees, so I had no hesitation. Certax Teesside increases by at least a couple of a clients a week, and as my relationships with clients cements due to good performance, they are keen to recommend me.

“I do think a lot of my growth is down to my postal address and high quality surroundings. Being in Commerce House makes me work hard to fit with the ethos of the building. My clients are also very impressed.”

Facilities manager, Christine Huntington, is delighted to see not only the building but all the business community at Commerce House, thriving. She said:

“Being over 80% full now, the building has an amazing vibe. There are people using the business lounge, offices in use, reception is busy and the board room is used a lot by both tenants and external bookings for meetings. We host a lot of business events and people just love the building and what we have done to it, with many saying it is as good as a five star hotel!

“With only four offices left, we have decided to close our special offers, including 3 months for free, on 24th December.”

The luxury business community is offering special deals on the last office space, as long as the lease is signed by 24th December, 2018. The offices left range from a two desk office to 15 desk office, with both a nine and 12 desk room available too. Some of the offices on the higher floors boast stunning parkay flooring and views over the station and city.
