Specialist energy and rail recruitment firm, Samuel Knight International, has offered support for those members of staff facing potential layoffs and ongoing uncertainty at Tees Renewable Energy Plant.
In light of today’s reports that around 700 people working on the Plant’s construction have been “paid off” prematurely, the Newcastle hiring specialist has offered its expertise to those affected.
Mark Cummings, Energy project director of Samuel Knight commented:
“This news is obviously disappointing for the UK’s energy industry given the hopes we had for this project. However, in these situations it’s staff who are hit hardest. Given that the resources and skills that are working on this project are in such high demand and short supply across the UK, it’s disheartening to say the least that so many workers are being affected.”
“We have extensive experience placing energy engineers and other industry specialists in placements across the North East and further afield. We urge anyone impacted by this news to get in touch today to discuss how we can help them.”
