NEWCASTLE UNITED CONFIRM RETAINED LIST

Newcastle United has confirmed its list of retained players following the 2017/18 Premier League season.
 
The club has confirmed that first team players Massadio Haïdara and Jesús Gámez will both leave St. James’ Park on the expiry of their contracts this summer.
 
Haïdara joined the Magpies from French side Nancy in 2013 and played 54 games for the club, while Gámez joined from Atlético Madrid in 2016 and made ten appearances.
 
The club has offered new deals to youngsters Luke Charman and Callum Roberts, but Australian defender Curtis Good will leave after a six-year stay on Tyneside.
 
A further 19 players will leave the club at under-23 level – Yannick Aziakonou, Kyle Cameron, Yasin Ben Elmhanni, Stuart Findlay, Owen Gallacher, Macaulay Gillesphey, Alex Gilliead, Mackenzie Heaney, Tom Heardman, Jack Hunter, Ben Kitchen, Michael Newberry, Brendan Pearson, Callum Smith, Liam Smith, Craig Spooner, Dan Ward, Callum Williams and Paul Woolston.
 
Meanwhile, scholars Thomas Allan, Lewis Cass, Matthew Longstaff, Oliver Walters, Kelland Watts and Adam Wilson have all been offered professional contracts.
 
Isaac Gamblin, Mace Goodridge, Jack Robson and Kurtis Russell have been released from the club’s Academy.
