North East production company relocates to riverside offices

A leading North-East production agency is celebrating change and a relocation to new offices on Newcastle Quayside.

North News and Pictures, which was set up by journalists Ted and Jane Ditchburn in 1984, has recently moved into new offices at St Peters Wharf in a move facilitated by property firm Bradley Hall.

The company began by supplying traditional news and pictures to the national newspapers, TV and radio and later developed its remit to specialising in creating engaging video content and imagery to meet the needs of local and national business and public sector clients.

Ted said: “The media landscape is constantly moving and developing, so to maintain our success over three decades in the industry we have had to continue to grow and be ahead of the requirements of our clients.

“The team at Bradley Hall were fantastic and they found a wonderful new home for our business, which met all of our requirements.

“We needed somewhere which was bespoke, flexible and able to accommodate our green screen studio.

“We certainly got what we wanted as well as some stunning views over the marina and river.”

The company, which employs 17 people across the North East, includes Northumbria University, Port of Tyne, the National Trust and English Heritage in its extensive client list.

Bradley Hall surveyor Nick Bramwell said: “This was a great move for North News and Pictures. There are some fantastic office spaces on the market at the minute, and we found Ted, Jane and the team the space which exceeded their expectations and requirements, organising the ideal base for their continuously growing and developing business.”
