Daisy Education is bringing its first Maths Summit to the North East in March 2026, uniting teachers and school leaders to tackle maths confidence and close learning gaps
Educators from across the North East are set to come together in March 2026 for The Daisy Education Maths Summit: North East, a one-day event designed to share evidence, practical strategies and effective models that are improving maths outcomes in schools.
Taking place on Wednesday 11th March 2026 at Holiday Inn Newcastle South, Boldon, the summit will bring together teachers, senior leaders, trusts and expert practitioners for a day of research-led insight, collaboration and classroom-ready approaches.
Hosted by Daisy Education, the summit will focus on the real challenges schools are facing right now, including how to build confidence in maths, reduce anxiety, address misconceptions and ensure every learner can make meaningful progress.
The event will explore key themes including:
- Reducing maths anxiety by building pupil motivation and positive attitudes towards mathematics.
- Effective, evidence-informed maths instruction and high-quality classroom practice.
- Strategies to address misconceptions and strengthen understanding.
- Closing gaps in mathematical learning for pupils who have fallen behind.
- Developing confident, independent mathematicians through problem solving, reasoning and fluency.
- Supporting high levels of need through effective differentiation.
As schools continue to navigate widening attainment gaps and growing pressure on teacher capacity, the summit will offer an opportunity to connect with peers, explore what works and take away ideas that can be implemented straight away.
Ian Fitzpatrick, managing director of Daisy Education said, “The Daisy Education Maths Summit is all about bringing the education community together in the North to share evidence-based practice and practical strategies that support teachers and help pupils thrive. We’re excited to host the North East summit and create a space for collaboration, learning and renewed confidence in what great maths teaching can achieve.”
