A North Shields business is giving a local charity a helping hand with a donation of much-needed new tools in support of a range of community work to help local people build new skills.

BLAUPUNKT Tools based on the North Shields Fish Quay, launched in 2017 with the world-wide rights to distribute the market-leading range of gardening and power tools from BLAUPUNKT.

Specialists in multi-channel retailing, the team at BLAUPUNKT were keen to develop new and long-lasting relationships with the local community and were introduced to Meadow Well Connected via their North Tyneside Business Factory advisor, Janice Ross

The introduction has been particularly prosperous for the community organisation with BLAUPUNKT Tools committing to donate power tools and selected gardening equipment in support of their extensive programme underway in Meadow Well, North Shields.

Mayra De Almeida from BLAUPUNKT Tools comments: “Although the reach of our business extends throughout the UK, we were keen to look at ways in which we could work with local community organisations right here in North Tyneside.  Meadow Well Connected work tirelessly in the local community and communicated how more effective tools and equipment could positively impact on the skills training and work they provide from their facility.

“It’s the perfect partnership.  We are able to provide access to modern equipment that Meadow Well Connected can in turn use to for training purposes to support the career aspirations of people in North Shields seeking to develop new skills.”

“We are able to provide not only from our garden range but also from our new power tool range that Meadow Well Connected can use to for training purposes to support the career aspirations of people in North Shields seeking to develop new skills.”

BLAUPUNKT Tools were supported in their business launch and integration into the community by The North Tyneside Business Factory who have continue to work with them on an ongoing basis via their advisor, Janice Ross who they would especially like to thank.  The Business factory is funded by the ERDF and delivered by TEDCO Business Support in North Tyneside.  It is dedicated to offering assistance to new and growing businesses across all areas of private and social enterprise.
