imageA North Yorkshire based manufacturer has strengthened its management team with the appointment of a new general manager.

Lamba Welding Systems, based on Gallowfields Trading Estate, in Richmond, has been operating since 1988. They are the market leader in the manufacture, supply and repair of resistance welding machinery, and have developed a full range of temporary fence welding machines that are in use worldwide.

A family business run by Brian and Julie Bates, Lamba have continued to grow and expand both in the UK and globally.

They are delighted to announce the appointment of Wayne Olley as General Manager

Wayne has worked in the industry for 32 years and gained experience of bespoke machine manufacture. He has worked with a number of first Tier manufacturing companies whilst running his own business supplying fabrications, bespoke handling devices, machinery and mechanical breakdown support along with 24 hr maintenance service. He has also achieved an NVQ level 5 Supervisory Management Degree which supports his long proven record of man management and project management skills.

His experiences range from Pneumatics, Hydraulics, both stick & Mig welding, plating, pipefitting and Machine relocation.

Lamba employ a team of 14 people, including Brian and Julie’s daughter, Hannah Bates who recently graduated with a Business and Management degree from Leeds Metropolitan University.

With the appointment of Wayne, the business can now continue to focus on developing their business across Europe and into the US which is a market that is increasing in opportunity.

Brian Bates said, “We are delighted to welcome Wayne to the team. His knowledge and experience are exactly what we need to take our business forward. Already he has been invaluable in helping us streamline our materials and processing systems even further. We believe that by having the right people on board with ideas and enthusiasm we can continue to drive the business forward.”
