Over 3000 hours reached by volunteers

Volunteers from Middlesbrough and Stockton Mind have reached over 3000 volunteering hours since January 2018.

The mental health organisation celebrated this achievement with a certificate presentation on Friday 1 June 2018 to mark the start of volunteer’s week (1-8 June).

Paul Christon, Service manager said: “It’s important to recognise the contribution that our volunteers make all year round”.

“A lot of the commitment and work they do, often goes unnoticed outside our organisation and this is why we decided to host the certificate presentation event as part of volunteer’s week”.

The mental health charity offers a wide range of volunteer roles from campaigning to supporting people within the services.

Steven Moolgaoker, Recovery Champion and Appropriate Adult volunteer said: “Volunteering gives you a lot of opportunities to make a difference. I buzz from it, if anyone is sat in their house reading this and hesitating thinking they’re not good enough or are suffering, go and dip your toes in the water and find out. Come and meet people like me”.
