Holiday park operator Parkdean Resorts has strengthened its operations making a number of key appointments to its contact centre team, creating long-term local jobs and internal promotion opportunities.
Based in Gosforth, the busy contact centre handles over 1M contacts a year from holidaymakers and holiday home owners across multiple channels including calls, live chat, email and social media.
Key appointments include Mel Donoghue who has joined the business from Barclays where she was head of the bank’s contact centre in Sunderland. As head of contact centre and operations she will support contact centre and customer service director Chloe Squires and the 150-strong team.
As well as welcoming hundreds of thousands of holidaymakers to its parks each year, holiday home owners enjoy frequent breaks at 66 locations. Leading the team maintaining relations with the company’s community of owners, Iain Craig has been appointed as owner support centre manager.
Filling a newly-created role as group travel becomes more of a focus area for the business, groups and partnerships manager Matt Kershaw will build upon existing and new relationships with group travel operators.
Aside from directly communicating with customers, the team also supports relations across the company’s holiday parks seven days a week year-round.
Chloe Squires, contact centre and customer service director at Parkdean Resorts said: “The contact centre has grown rapidly to meet demand, ensuring our customers and people are always at the heart of everything we do. These latest appointments have strengthened the infrastructure of the team and our operations which will help us evolve as a centre even further. Our team of professionals deliver great conversations and customer service, helping holidaymakers and owners to fully maximise their time spent at our parks, creating amazing memories.
“We strongly champion internal development and progression of our people, and have various roles currently available. Some of my senior team joined the company as advisors and have risen through the ranks, whilst others have gone on to take a different pathway and flourished in other areas within the business such as marketing, park operations, HR and IT.
“Anyone who has a real passion for customer service, sales or working within the travel industry, we want to hear from you.”
