A leading North East retailer, Pennine Home Improvements, is set to launch its biggest showroom to date with an evening of live jazz and an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
An impressive launch event will see Pennine announce the opening of its brand-new space, situated at Dragonville Retail Park, Durham, on 10 February. The Mayor and Mayoress of Durham, Councillor Bill Kellett and Councillor Mrs Jean Chaplow will do the honour of cutting the ribbon.
Members of the public will be invited along to enjoy a free evening of live jazz, champagne and canapes, and a cocktail masterclass. There will also be a number of exclusive giveaways throughout the evening, including the chance to win an iPad.
Mark Tinnion, managing director at Pennine Home Improvements, said: “With seven conservatories and orangeries, as well as a state-of-the-art virtual reality design station, the new showroom will give more customers from across the region the opportunity to visualise their dream living space and see the quality of our products up close.
“This will be Pennine’s first showroom in the Durham area, and as it’s our biggest to date, we can’t wait to share it with the public with a fun-filled evening.”
Along with a tuxedo-clad jazz band playing classic songs from the Great American songbook and cocktail-making demonstrations from the Guzzling Gander, the night will see the unveiling of an exclusive Pennine cocktail mix, The Pennine Way, created especially for the event.
When guests aren’t getting a first-hand experience of Pennine products with the virtual reality design station, there will also be a close-up magician to provide entertainment.
Mark continued: “We really wanted to launch the new showroom with a bang, and as we have customers to thank for getting Pennine to the leading position it’s in today, we thought it only fair to share the celebration with the region.

The free launch event will run from 4pm until 8pm on Saturday February 10th, with the official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5pm.
