ACADEMY students got their act together as they took to the stage for a performing arts extravaganza.
Talented performers from The King’s Academy, in Coulby Newham, sang, played, danced and acted their way into the hearts of judges and fellow students.
The annual house competition allows for four acts from each of the academy’s four houses to perform in front of an audience of around 250 Year 7 students and the judging panel of music and drama teachers.
The acts comprised solo singers and musicians, duets and group performances.
The audience were able to choose their favourites and the winning act turned out to be the Romans house dance medley featuring ‘Rick Astley’ and the Star Wars Stormtroopers, with Medes house winning overall.
Head of drama Eddie Jones said: “I am so proud of everyone who has taken part. It’s not easy to perform in front of your peers and every act did a great job.
“We all know The King’s Academy has talent and a fantastic range of capabilities in the performing arts and this was a great event to showcase and celebrate that talent.”
