Pop Star Kimberly Wyatt Opens London’s First Rapid-Access Urgent Care Centre

Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt officially launched the London Urgent Care Centre at Chase Lodge Hospital in Mill Hill yesterday.

The 43-year-old singer cut the ribbon to declare the state-of-the- art facility, which offers fast, expert medical attention and rapid care as an alternative to long waiting times in A and E departments, officially open.

Mum of three, Kimberly, who has appeared on hit shows like Dancing on Ice, The Jump and Celebrity Masterchef said: “As a mum, I know how stressful it can be when someone you love suddenly gets sick or hurt. At Chase Lodge Hospital, you’re triaged quickly – within about 20 minutes – and can get instant diagnostics on-site. It just takes away that panic of not knowing what’s going on. The team and facilities are brilliant too, with everything from modern treatment rooms to theatres for when more advanced care is needed.”

Created by three visionary doctors, the purpose-built centre is set to revolutionise urgent care across the UK, offering fast, expert medical attention without the long waits, overcrowding, or stress of a traditional hospital setting.

The launch event was also attended by a host of other celebrities including TV health expert Dr Hilary Jones, Love Island star and musician Wes Nelson, and former model and actress Linda Lusardi, who joined Kimberly for a tour of the hi-tec centre.

With NHS A&E departments under unprecedented strain and average waits now approaching five hours, leaving thousands of patients being treated in corridors, the new centre offers a lifeline for families needing urgent attention without the chaos of overcrowded hospitals.

Designed for both adults and children, the only one in the capital, the London Urgent Care Centre provides rapid-access triage within 20 minutes and consultations with senior emergency doctors for just £99.

Services include on-site imaging and diagnostics (X-ray, MRI, ultrasound, ECG, and blood tests), urgent prescriptions, routine health checks, 24/7 emergency dental care, and same-day consultant referrals all under one roof.

The London Urgent Care Centre is the vision of Drs Raeen Farrokhnik, Jalal Moradzadeh, and Andre van Nierop – three highly qualified emergency medicine specialists whose decades of frontline experience extends across the UK and internationally.

Dr Andre van Nierop, Co-Founder of the London Urgent Care Centre, said: “With A&E departments under enormous pressure, there’s never been a greater need for rapid, affordable access to quality medical care. We built the London Urgent Care Centre at Chase Lodge Hospital to give patients what they need most in an emergency – calm, confidence, and care from senior doctors who can act fast and provide answers when every minute matters.”

The facility features modern treatment rooms and a fully-equipped Day Surgery Unit, allowing consultant-led procedures to be performed on-site. Comprehensive health checks are also available, including blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes screenings, as well as school and sports physicals.

Set in landscaped gardens and offering a calm, welcoming environment far removed from the chaos of traditional A&E, the London Urgent Care Centre is a pioneering new model for emergency care and one that Drs Farrokhnik, Moradzadeh, and van Nierop plan to roll out to other communities across the UK.
