Popular Pop up Shop Launches Month Long Halloween Celebration in Middlesbrough’s Dundas Shopping Centre

A Middlesbrough shopping centre has launched a month’s long Halloween festival with dedicated shops, special goods, a Halloween market, spook-tacular decorations and a kids’ creepy crawly petting zoo.

The centre piece of the celebration in the town’s Dundas Shopping Centre is a pop-up store created by the centre’s Festival Shop to sell Halloween costumes, masks and make-up, for the fourth year in succession.

The pop up shop staffed by Festival Shop employees in spooky costumes will be joined by a number of extra scary market stalls later in the month for a special Halloween themed Dundas Food and Craft Market running from 26 to 29 October.

On Wednesday 25 October from 10am to 4pm, there is a creepy crawly children’s zoo run by Animal Story, with the chance to meet some creepy creatures, along with free kid’s crafts such as mask and magnet making.

Retailers in the Dundas Shopping Centre are also joining in the frightening fun throughout October, with Boyes and B&M selling a wide range of children’s and adult costumes, accessories and decorations.  There’s a range of ghostly cakes and biscuits on offer at Cooplands and Brickyard Bakery, scary sweets and treats from the Sweet Corner, special meals at Jean’s Kitchen, and many other ghoulish goods on sale throughout the shopping centre and indoor market.

Dundas Market Manager David Harris says: “Halloween is getting bigger and better every year in the Dundas Shopping Centre.  With the Festival Shop known across Teesside for its spectacular costumes and displays and all our national retailers, independent shops and market traders joining in, Halloween is a month long celebration in Dundas Shopping Centre and is one of our busiest retailing periods.  This year it will be even better with a special market.  It’s the place in town to go and buy anything to do with Halloween.”

Customer car parking is available in the 178-space Dundas Shopping Centre basement car park, accessed off Wilson Street.  Further information is available from www.dundasshoppingcentre.co.uk or via @DundasShopping on Facebook and Twitter.
